Responsibilities
Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
Manage audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting to ensure full compliance and accuracy
Oversee general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and portfolio-level accounting activities
Establish and maintain strong accounting policies, procedures, and control frameworks
Mentor and manage accounting staff, fostering professional growth and accountability
Collaborate with senior leadership on financial planning, risk management, and process improvement initiatives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
Expertise in GAAP, investment or real estate accounting, and property-level reporting is required
10+ years in accounting with 5+ in leadership, preferably within investment management, real estate investment, or private equity
Proficient in Yardi and Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of GAAP, real estate investment reporting, property-level performance metrics, and acquisition accounting
Strategic and analytical leader with strong communication, team management, and problem-solving skills focused on achieving long-term financial goals
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
Preferred experience in financial reporting systems and ERP platforms
