Responsibilities
Assist with day-to-day accounting activities across multiple active construction projects
Maintain the general ledger in accordance with GAAP standards
Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly and quarterly financial statements
Support construction-specific accounting processes, including job costing, WIP schedules, percent-complete reporting, and project closeouts
Assist with tax compliance and multi-entity accounting requirements
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local reporting regulations
Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to monitor budgets, costs, and project performance
Provide support during audits, reviews, and special accounting initiatives
Prepare and deliver financial reports for internal leadership, lenders, and external stakeholders
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
3–5+ years of accounting experience within construction, construction-adjacent industries, or public accounting
Strong working knowledge of GAAP principles
Experience with job costing, WIP reporting, construction accounting, and multi-entity environments
Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks or comparable ERP systems
Excellent reconciliation skills with strong attention to detail and documentation
Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
CPA or progress toward CPA licensure is a plus, but not required
