FTS Inc is a large, global organization headquartered in the Rochester area seeking a Senior Manager of Accounts Receivable to provide strategic leadership across its shared services environment. This role involves overseeing a sizable Accounts Receivable organization and partnering cross-functionally to support process improvements and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Lead the end-to-end Order-to-Cash (O2C) function, including billing, credit, collections, cash application, and dispute resolution
Provide leadership and direction to 3–4 direct-report managers, with approximately 70 indirect team members
Stabilize and develop a relatively young organization by building structure, consistency, and trust
Operate within a shared services / GBS model supporting multiple regions across the Americas
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Customer Service, IT, and Treasury
Support ongoing transformation initiatives, including process improvement, system consolidation, and automation
Lead, coach, and develop AR managers and supervisors; foster accountability and career growth
Ensure effective oversight of billing accuracy, credit risk, collections strategy, cash application, and dispute resolution
Drive improvements in working capital, customer experience, and operational efficiency
Maintain strong internal controls and compliance within a SOX-compliant environment
Support month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and cash forecasting activities
Use data and analysis to guide decision-making and identify improvement opportunities
Serve as a steady, visible leader during periods of change and transformation

Required

10+ years of Accounts Receivable / Order-to-Cash experience, including credit and collections
7+ years of people-management experience
Proven ability to lead large, multi-layered teams
Strong leadership presence with a calm, people-first management style
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required
Accounts payable: 4 years (Required)
Accounts receivable: 4 years (Required)

Preferred

MBA or advanced degree preferred
Associate (Preferred)
Accounting: 7 years (Preferred)
