Responsibilities
Conduct Distributed Energy Resources (DER) integration studies on existing utility/power systems infrastructure
Perform power system load flow, stability and transient studies, voltage impact, harmonic reviews, and power system dynamic model development
Perform equipment loading, voltage flicker, short circuit analysis, protection coordination, inrush analysis, contingency analysis, and Unintentional Islanding risk assessment
Propose optimal mitigation methods and calculate cost estimation for necessary infrastructure upgrades associated with Distribution and Transmission Level Projects
Produce detailed, concise, analytical reports and cost estimate documentation
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
one (1) year of electrical engineering experience in conducting DER integration studies
experience using power systems analysis tools (CYME, Synergi, Windmill, DEW, PVL, and PSSE software)
