Principal Project Engineer - Core Systems & Libraries (ONSITE)

Responsibilities

Lead the Pursuit, Proposal, Planning and execution of Design and Development Projects for software products
Develop project and program strategies to advance the Software Engineering discipline and products, specifically working with program management on product roadmaps
Ensure alignment to program, product line, and corporate goals while meeting certification requirements up to and including DO-178 DAL A
Communicate with a wide variety of individuals including Engineering, Program Management, Internal Leadership, Supply Chain, Operations, Service Centers, and Customers

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Experience with leading in FPGA/ASIC or software product development efforts
Experience leading technical projects including customer interaction, and briefing leadership
Experience with DO-178 certification activities (DAL A preferred)
Experience with interfacing with the wide spectrum of individual contributors to program management and customers
Willingness to travel (domestic and international <10%)

Preferred

Experience with Change Management, Earned Value Management and Lifecycle Program Management
Experience with Microsoft Project, Subversion, Jira, Jama, DOORS, and other program management tools
Experience using software design, verification, simulation and/or vendor specific tools
