Workday Functional Analyst - Benefits

The HRIS Functional Analyst serves as a functional expert for HR, Payroll, Benefits, Time & Attendance, and General Ledger processes, working with technical teams and end users to support and maintain the HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

Assist with day-to-day support – answer questions, assist with setting up and training new users, troubleshooting issues for applications supported by the HRIS team including, but not limited to WorkDay, and ViewPoint
Assist in researching new functionality delivered by the system vendors and determine impact to our current set-up and how to implement
Assist with gathering data/requirements for new projects
Assist in writing documentation & creating training materials for end-users on processes and procedures
Testing
Create test plans & testing scenarios based on requirements
Creates test scripts to prove each scenario through system and user acceptance testing
Assists with testing on Release updates, new programs, program changes
Complete data validations & testing during projects and new development
Set up and maintain tables/System Configuration
HR core tables, including Departments, Locations, and Establishments, Supervisory organizations
Time calculations, schedules, absence, eligibility rules
Benefits tables including Benefit programs, Benefit plans, Eligibility rules, Event rules, and Coverage formulas
Queries/Reports
Write basic queries
Run queries/reports, as needed for customers
Payroll Reporting
EIB’s
Prepare, Load and Audit EIB’s processed in WorkDay
Must be able to meet deadlines and manage multiple, dynamic priorities
Communicates effectively and demonstrates ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Must be willing to work extra during peak times, when needed, to complete assignments on-time and meet deadlines
Provides well-written and effective professional and technical documentation
Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication
Promotes cooperation and commitment within the team by assisting and working collaboratively with others
Holds self personally accountable to meet or exceed team expectations

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's Degree (preferably in HR or IT) or applicable experience in HRIS
3+ years with Workday (specifically, Core HR, Benefits and Time & Attendance)
Strong computer skills working with Microsoft office including Excel, Outlook, Word and Power Point
Highly detail driven with emphasis on accuracy, coupled with the ability to think broadly
Proven organizational skills with an ability to prioritize work in an environment with competing demands
Demonstrates self-awareness and desire to develop personal capabilities
Ability to hold themselves to high standards
Courage to take initiative in unfamiliar or ambiguous circumstances
Ability to communicate across multiple levels of the organization
Excellent verbal and written communication
Demonstrated creative thinking and problem solving, specifically around improving process efficiency
Customer service orientation
Ability to maintain confidentiality and a high degree of integrity
Able to sit at a desk in front of a computer for 8 hours daily

Preferred

Workday Certifications within 1 Year
Knowledge of Viewpoint is a plus
