Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for ARM-based microcontrollers
Implement and optimize solutions using FreeRTOS or Zephyr RTOS
Perform requirements-based development and contribute to exploratory concept creation
Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software on Nordic Semiconductor and STMicroelectronics platforms (or equivalent)
Optimize firmware for performance, reliability, and low power consumption
Debug and troubleshoot embedded systems using JTAG, SWD, test equipment, and software tools
Develop and execute test plans and validation strategies
Create and maintain technical documentation for design, code, and testing
Qualification
Required
7–10 years of embedded software/firmware development experience
Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Embedded C (Python is a plus)
Solid understanding of ARM architecture and embedded systems design
Hands-on experience with FreeRTOS or Zephyr RTOS
Experience working with communication protocols: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, BLE
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
Preferred
Experience with Nordic Semiconductor and STMicroelectronics platforms
Knowledge of low-power design techniques
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems
Experience with Bitbucket / Git-based workflows
Knowledge of IoT protocols: Ethernet, USB, Zigbee, MQTT, Wi-Fi, CoAP
Experience with LoRa protocol
Exposure to TinyML / deploying machine learning models on embedded devices
