Responsibilities
Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure and application solutions on Microsoft Azure
Strategize and execute migration of complex, multi-tier applications from on-premises environments to Azure
Collaborate with engineering, application, and security teams to define architectural patterns, governance models, and cloud-native best practices
Build and manage Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
Architect CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms to ensure seamless integration and deployment processes
Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based environments, while maintaining compliance and security requirements
Provide architectural guidance on Azure services, cost optimization, backup/disaster recovery, and resource governance
Evaluate current environments and drive improvements in automation, monitoring, and security posture
Document architectural standards, solutions, and operational processes for use across multiple teams
Mentor junior engineers and developers on cloud adoption, DevOps principles, and architectural best practices
Qualification
Required
8+ years of progressive IT experience, including 3+ years as a cloud architect or in a similar senior Azure-focused role
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert strongly preferred
Deep expertise in Azure services, including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory
Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
Strong grasp of DevOps and CI/CD methodologies, with hands-on experience in pipeline automation and release management
Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Python, or similar for automation and deployment
Strong understanding of cloud security, identity and access management, encryption, and compliance frameworks
Experience with container orchestration (AKS/Kubernetes, Docker)
Excellent communication skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred
Expertise in cloud networking, including virtual networks, subnets, NSGs, load balancers, and VPN gateways
Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises systems
Experience implementing Zero Trust security models and policies in cloud environments
Knowledge of multi-cloud architectures (AWS/GCP exposure is a plus but not required)
Demonstrated leadership in driving cloud adoption strategies, cost control, and architecture reviews
