Responsibilities

Lead a team of construction professionals to meet the rapid commercial real estate growth goals of the company
Work closely with construction project managers in all phases of a project; design, permit, bid, build
Oversee project budgets and cost tracking to ensure leadership has accurate understanding of project cost and trends
Utilize expertise to provide support and facilitate the development and growth of team members as they expand their roles and responsibilities
Lead negotiations with external partners such as Architects, Civil Engineers, General Contractors, Utility Consultants, Soil Engineers, and other professionals to sync their objectives with the company’s goals creating a win/win relationship
Educate and promote the use of fundamental project management processes and methodologies
Recognize the critical path of a project and work with the appropriate teams, both internal and external, developing plans to stay on track
Provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding project schedules, possible accelerations or delays and project budgets, cost savings and overruns

Required

7+ years of experience in construction project management, specifically ground-up construction
3+ years experience leading individuals and teams
In-depth understanding of construction procedures and project management principles
Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills
Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Must be proactive, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision
Advanced interpersonal skills, ability to interface with a variety of personalities with professionalism
Proven track record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
Must thrive in a fast-paced environment, with an entrepreneurial approach to project management and a commitment to team support
Able to help create, develop, and implement process improvements
Must promote the company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners
Must be proficient in standard office software applications (Google suite)
Must be willing to travel as necessary (up to 50% of the time)
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English

Preferred

A Bachelor's degree in construction management or related/relevant field is preferred
