Loan Officer Assistant (Licensed Preferred)
Johns Creek Mortgage is seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Loan Officer Assistant with a strong preference for active NMLS licensure to support senior loan production while contributing directly to pipeline growth and borrower engagement. This role involves managing the loan lifecycle, ensuring compliance, and enhancing client experiences through proactive communication and relationship management.

Responsibilities
Support a Loan Officer throughout the full loan lifecycle, from application through post-closing
Manage an active pipeline, ensuring timelines, accuracy, and proactive communication
Prepare, review, and submit complete and compliant loan files in Encompass
Coordinate with processors, underwriters, agents, and internal teams to move loans efficiently
Work the CRM daily, maintaining accurate notes, follow-ups, and next steps
Re-engage inactive or previously unqualified prospects to assess new qualification opportunities
Proactively contact past clients to identify refinance and repeat-business opportunities as market conditions change
Conduct consistent, professional outbound borrower outreach to support pipeline health
Document all borrower interactions and outreach activity within the CRM
Ensure all borrower communications and loan activities comply with TRID, RESPA, ECOA, and applicable federal and state regulations
Maintain clean, accurate documentation to reduce underwriting friction and prevent delays
Protect the Loan Officer’s time by managing borrower communication, anticipating needs, and prioritizing high-value activities
Provide administrative and operational support aligned with company standards and workflows
Take loan applications and discuss loan terms and products with borrowers in compliance with applicable regulations
Assist with compliant, relationship-based business development activities
Support borrower pre-qualification and follow-up conversations
Qualification
Required
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Loan Officer Assistant, Processor Assistant, or similar role in mortgage lending
Strong proficiency in Encompass (required)
Solid understanding of mortgage loan products, documentation, and compliance requirements
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred
Active NMLS license strongly preferred
Sales-oriented mindset with confidence in outbound borrower engagement
Experience working CRM-driven pipelines and borrower re-engagement strategies
Experience in a broker or high-volume lending environment
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
