Insight Global is seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to support our Architecture & Design client in Richmond, VA. This position supports architects and interior designers in developing detailed drawings and construction documents for hospitality projects.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate architectural and interior design drawings, plans, elevations, and details in AutoCAD

Convert conceptual sketches, designer mark-ups, and redlines into clear, buildable construction documents

Coordinate with project managers, architects, and interior designers to ensure all drawings meet design intent, brand standards, and building codes

Maintain organized digital files and drawing sets throughout the design and construction phases

Assist with revisions and updates to plans during permitting and construction administration

Required

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Drafting, or a related field

Proficiency in AutoCAD

2+ years of drafting experience in hospitality, commercial, or high-end residential project spaces (hotels, restaurants, bars, apartment complexes, etc.)

Strong understanding of construction documentation, detailing, and building codes

Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills

Preferred

Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Bluebeam or other design software
