Responsibilities
Full ownership of intake and lead tracking
Screening and triaging matters by priority
Relentless follow-up on all leads — no drop-offs, no untracked matters
Gathering documents and information via Clio
Answering and returning calls as needed to move matters forward
Moving matters from initial contact through signed engagement and into pre-litigation
Managing a high lead volume (dozens at a time; potentially 100+ per week)
Ensuring viable matters are fully papered and ready for litigation handoff
Closing out weak, incoherent, or low-value matters efficiently and professionally
Screening out a large number of matters is an expected and essential part of this role
Qualification
Required
Extremely organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable managing high volume under pressure
Willing to follow templates and defined criteria exactly
Persistent and disciplined in follow-up
Comfortable telling people 'no' when appropriate
Uninterested in freelancing, improvising, or 'lawyering' beyond scope
Calm, direct, and able to separate facts from emotion
Preferred
Lawyers or legal professionals who enjoy early-stage case screening, organization, and execution
People who take pride in process discipline, accuracy, and follow-through
Professionals who are not viewing the role as a stepping stone, but as ownership of a defined, high-responsibility function
Candidates comfortable applying criteria and saying 'no' when facts do not support a case
