Responsibilities
Design, develop, customize, and support Energy Management Systems (EMS) for transmission operations
Work with real-time and mission-critical systems supporting utility grid operations
Support Electric SCADA, Power DMS, and Transmission EMS implementations
Analyze system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions
Install patches, upgrades, and fixes on live production systems with minimal operational impact
Troubleshoot application, database, and system-level issues across Linux and Windows environments
Review system logs, debug files, and performance data to ensure system stability and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, engineering, and system integration groups
Qualification
Required
3+ years of experience developing, customizing, and delivering EMS solutions for electric utilities
Strong knowledge of Electric SCADA, Power DMS, and Transmission EMS platforms
3+ years of hands-on experience with C, Java, and SQL/Oracle databases
3+ years of experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) using C++, Java (full-stack), or similar languages
Experience working with EMS or AEMS products in a design and development capacity
Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems, including shell scripting
Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot system logs and debug files
3+ years of experience supporting real-time or mission-critical systems
Demonstrated experience deploying fixes and updates in live production environments
Proven problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
Preferred
Strong attention to detail and operational reliability
Ability to work independently in high-impact environments
Clear communication skills and a customer-focused mindset
Experience working in regulated utility environments is a plus
