Responsibilities
Category management responsibilities include market research, strategic sourcing, complex contract negotiation, and strategy compliance, with annual spend levels up to $50MM annually
Responsibilities include managing a staff of up to four (4) associates
Responsibilities include addressing difficult problems with minimal supervision
Ensure department duties are performed in accordance with legal, ethical, and policy guidelines
Develop, implement, and manage organizational development strategies and talent management initiatives to optimize long-term team effectiveness
Develop, implement, and manage efficient process workflows to optimize workforce productivity
Flawlessly execute tactical responsibilities (procure to pay) to consistently meet or exceed business unit requirements as it relates to quality, timing, cost and service
Drive value generation activities through the identification and implementation of cost-out and innovation initiatives
Manage market intelligence research efforts to define, implement, and refine category strategies, ensuring category expertise is maintained across all market segments in which AG participates
Qualification
Required
4+ years in related field preferred
Demonstrates excellent collaboration, influencing, and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives in partnership with Finance, Legal, Operations, and Business Unit stakeholders
Utilizes sound judgment in conjunction with fact-based, analytical methodologies to drive the decision-making process
Demonstrates the ability to plan and execute multiple priorities in a manner that optimizes resources and results in timely and predictable results
Demonstrates the ability to manage talent to ensure long term team continuity and effectiveness
Demonstrates the ability to foster creative thinking in teams that drive innovative initiatives
Proficiency with ERP systems, MS Office, sourcing tools and advanced spend analytics
Experience assessing and mitigating supplier risk & ensuring continuity of supply
B.A. in Business or equivalent
