Application Developer III (Remote) - WashU IT
Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis is seeking an Application Developer III to provide advanced support for research information technology solutions. The role involves updating and supporting the myIRB application and collaborating with various teams to enhance business practices and application functionality.

Responsibilities
Supports myIRB (Java based) application in close coordination with WashU IT and HRPO teams
Conducts workflow study and analysis of business practices: Analyzes and documents existing processes as they relate to information technology solutions
Performs application lifecycle activities, including: Code, monitor, maintain, test and debug software applications; follows established change management processes; facilitates code reviews and enforces code standards; develops and executes test plan development; researches and evaluates new technology, products, specialized hardware and tools to optimize development and functionality of applications; makes recommendations to management and customers; assists in ensuring team members complete tasks as assigned, taking corrective action to stay on schedule
Provides support for complex operational activities and recoveries; coordinates with software vendors and external service providers; troubleshoots escalated software bugs and provides fixes
Provides off-hours support, as needed
Provides strong leadership, cultivates and fosters excellent customer service; enforces adherence to departmental standards; instructs, trains and guides less experienced staff
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or combination of education and/or experience may substitute for minimum education
Relevant Experience (3 Years)
No specific certification/professional license is required for this position
A driver's license is not required for this position
