Health Innovations Manager (Medicaid Health Systems Administrator 2)
The State of Ohio is dedicated to improving healthcare for its residents through the Ohio Department of Medicaid. The Health Innovations Manager will direct initiatives aimed at advancing quality healthcare strategies and oversee health policy research to ensure program compliance.

Responsibilities
Directing the development and implementation of the ODM’s health innovation initiatives (e.g., CARDI-OH, Quality Improvement Partnership with Academic Centers, Medicaid Outcomes Distributed Research Network) through the Medicaid Technical Assistance and Policy Program (MEDTAPP)
Overseeing development of health policy research and evaluation for value-based improvement initiatives (e.g., Next Generation Managed Care Program Evaluation)
Analyzing and interpreting federal & state regulations, rules & laws to ensure program compliance
Proposing legislation with other agency representatives (e.g., Bureau of Managed Care, Health Plan Policy, Management Information Systems, Office of Legal Services)
Acting as liaison with other agency representatives &/or outside agencies, providers, advocates, beneficiaries &/or consumers
Qualification
Required
Completion of graduate core program in business, management or public administration, public health, health administration, social or behavioral science or public finance
24 mos. exp. in planning & administering health services program or health services project management (e.g., health care data analysis, health services contract management, health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development, HMO & hospital rate development, health services eligibility, health services data analysis)
Or 24 months experience as a Medicaid Health Systems Administrator 1, 65295

Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above
Technical Skills: Health Administration
