Business Manager
IFG - International Financial Group is a top IT firm seeking a Business Development Manager. This role involves supporting industry solutions delivery, orchestrating business rhythms, managing reporting enhancements, and engaging with stakeholders across multiple regions.
Responsibilities
Purpose of the Team: The purpose of this team is supporting Industry solutions delivery as part of a professional services organization. The larger organization develops services, and this team works with customers to enable the products they have purchased and consult with them
Key projects: This role will support typical business manager duties including: Rhythm of Business, schedule meetings, prepare content for meetings and create decks for stakeholders, meet with content holders before they present during meetings, sending reminders to ensure everything is submitted on time. The role will also manage weekly and monthly business reviews to prepare content, and will support data review by confirming data is correct or address gaps by investigating this and reach out further to content owners
Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of:
Morning: Review delivery health metrics across Americas; prepare updates for leadership forums
Midday: Orchestrate business rhythms such as Weekly Delivery Health Reviews or Monthly Business Reviews; coordinate stakeholders across multiple regions
Afternoon: Work on reporting enhancements (e.g., Americas Leakage Report), optimize processes, and engage in cross-functional initiatives
Ad hoc tasks: Handle escalations, enable strategic initiatives, and occasionally present in leadership forums
Expanded Regional Impact: Influence delivery operations across three segments, offering exposure to diverse business environments
Strategic Visibility: Direct involvement in leadership forums and decision-making processes
Process Ownership: Opportunity to lead reporting enhancements and optimize cross-functional workflows

Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain previous experience in consulting business or professional services, or experience providing support for IT companies and IT functions. Previous experience as a vendor is also a big plus, as well as experience with finances, great business acumen, great communication skills with high level stakeholders, and strong ability to collaborate and follow through with others

Supports day-to-day operations and execution; reviews rhythm of the business (ROB) and recommends process improvements. Contributes to execution of continuation of business plans during periods of change or special circumstances. Follows strategy execution best practices and contributes to management of corporate strategy initiatives across functions by driving accountability for processes, supporting communications, and reporting to ensure alignment across groups. Supports the annual budget process under the direction of others. Uses network such as with peers to attain results; learns to grow network and leverage it correctly to inform work. Builds trust, encourages collaboration, and enables fact-based decision making for leader through sharing of timely, accurate, and relevant information. Drives team culture and health for the leader by getting a pulse on organizational health, as well as leading culture initiatives (e.g., Diversity and Inclusion [D&I], hiring, onboarding) while partnering with Human Resources (HR) to do so. Contributes to projects as needed to meet the changing business environment. Executes internal communications strategy and programs
Qualification
Required
Minimum 8 years experience with Rhythm of Business support
Minimum 8 years experience with reviewing data in Excel and PowerBI (preferably with experience working on finances)
Minimum 8 years experience with business management working directly with stakeholders
8+ overall years of experience in the field
Strong background in business management, program coordination, or operations within a regional or global context
Advanced stakeholder management and communication skills
Proficiency in reporting tools and data analysis
Ability to manage multiple business rhythms and drive process improvements
Preferred
Previous experience in consulting business or professional services
Experience providing support for IT companies and IT functions
Previous experience as a vendor
Experience with finances
