Silicon Validation Engineer

Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and execute tests to validate hardware IP blocks and system-level integration
Validate designs on pre-silicon (emulation/FPGA) and post-silicon platforms to ensure functionality and performance
Collaborate with Software, Architecture, Design, and Design Verification (DV) teams to create comprehensive test plans
Lead silicon debug efforts for complex issues and support analysis of field failures
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
3 years of experience in silicon validation, verification, or a related field
Experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python, Perl, or Tcl)
Experience with programming in C or C++
Preferred
Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture
Experience with CPU architectures (e.g., ARM) and validating complex System-on-Chip (SoC) blocks
Experience with pre-silicon validation platforms like emulation or FPGAs
Experience with post-silicon debug, including using JTAG debuggers (e.g., Lauterbach)
Experience with audio, sensor, or low-power validation and system debug
Knowledge of operating system fundamentals and experience with bare-metal programming
