Responsibilities
Support large capital projects on an as needed basis for a period of 3-6 months
Develop and manage the preparation, review and checking of mechanical specification packages in accordance with Client requirements and industry best practices
Manage and successfully influence the entire procurement life cycle while working closely with all disciplines
Maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors in a professional manner
Coordinate all equipment supplier activities through initial selection to shop testing and shipment to site
Participate in department training programs, office wide employee resource groups, attend technical seminars and help arrange technical training for the department when requested
Qualification
Required
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or another related field
7 years (minimum) of experience in the EPC industry or chemical / biofuels operating companies
Professional Engineering License (P.E.) is preferred but not mandatory
Experience and/or desire to take the lead on highly complex process equipment packages
Ownership of P&IDs, module design/layout, controls, and equipment design, specification and selection
Working knowledge of other engineering disciplines
Ability to travel as needed to survey client sites
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with supervisory experience
Preferred
Operations / Maintenance and Reliability experience is a plus
