Responsibilities
Administer and monitor all grant funding activities, ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines
Prepare and submit required financial reports, budgets, and documentation to grantors
Conduct monthly account reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closings
Track and report expenses, monitor grant receivables, and ensure timely payment
Analyze budgets vs. actuals and prepare reports for management review
Collaborate with program staff to ensure accurate allocation of costs and adherence to project objectives
Assist with audits, including year-end and single audits under Uniform Guidance
Maintain proper recording of all financial transactions and common agency cost allocations
Serve as a liaison between internal departments and external funding sources
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in nonprofit or grant-funded organizations
Strong experience with grant management and compliance
Advanced Excel skills; highly computer savvy
Familiarity with accounting software; Sage Intacct preferred but not required
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
