Responsibilities
Partner with the Product Manager to translate product requirements, customer feedback, and training objectives into engineering specifications and design concepts
Lead mechanical design and development of new task trainer products, ensuring functionality, durability, and usability
Build and test prototypes to validate performance, safety, and compliance with requirements
Create detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, and documentation for manufacturing
Support supply chain and manufacturing teams with part selection, vendor engagement, and design-for-manufacturing best practices
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide engineering support throughout the product lifecycle, including sustaining engineering for existing task trainer products
Ensure designs meet cost, quality, and timeline goals while aligning with the company’s innovation and customer satisfaction objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
3–5+ years of mechanical engineering experience
Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, or equivalent) and FEA/analysis tools
Hands-on prototyping and testing experience
Strong knowledge of materials, plastics, machining, and manufacturing processes
Experience working in cross-functional product development teams
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance technical requirements, cost constraints, and user needs
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Must be willing to occasionally travel to customer sites, conferences, other Elevate locations etc
Preferred
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in medical devices, simulation products, or related industry
