Responsibilities
Function as the State Administrative Manager over an investigative team of Regulation Agents and administrative support personnel
Lead investigations involving fraud and abuse in MDOS program areas, crimes against persons and property crimes
Train and oversee the work of Regulation Agents and other staff
Supervise administrative personnel and fraud investigators responsible for investigations into allegations of fraud involving all state-wide MDOS programs
Promote effective communication and cooperation between other areas of the Department
Coordinate investigative activities with local, state, and federal law enforcement officials, other agencies, businesses, and the public
Establish priorities, allocate staff, and ensure the successful completion of assignments
Manage employee evaluation, counseling, selection, provision of technical and policy guidance and training of employees
Develop and propose policies and procedures that ensure section responsibilities are clearly defined and investigations are thoroughly conducted and appropriately pursued
Qualification
Required
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major
Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level
At least two years of experience in a leadership role within an investigative unit
Must be a United States Citizen
Must pass a thorough background investigation
Must submit fingerprints for state and federal criminal background checks
Must qualify for access under the criminal conviction policy per the Federal CJIS Security Policy and Michigan addendum
Must pass the LEIN certification test and be certified within 6 months of employment or assignment
Must retest/recertify every 2 years
