The Quality/Continuous Improvement Intern will focus on projects and process improvements to ensure that processes and products meet or exceed quality requirements.

Responsibilities
This individual will be learning and utilizing continuous improvement concepts such as 6S; Visual aids; 5 Why; Cause and Effect; PDCA (Plan Do Check Act); and other Lean/Six Sigma principals
Lead improvement projects with a goal of enhanced performance
Expected to resolve problems through the application of acquired expertise guided by precedent
Works together with people from the business unit. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards specifying activities. This individual will plan activities towards execution of assigned projects and will gain/give explanations on technical issues
Communicates with direct team and supervisor
Presents to internal teams on metrics, project status, and research
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in an accredited bachelor's degree program
Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0
Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment
Must have excellent problem analysis and problem resolution skills at both a strategic and functional level
Must have the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions
Exceptional computer skills are required, including extensive knowledge of spreadsheet, presentation and database software, proficiency with various email, calendaring, meeting management, and related communications software
At the conclusion of the internship, interns will showcase their core competencies in an executive presentation to present accomplishments and lessons learned through the course of the internship
