Responsibilities
Maintain full ownership of the design, engineering, and execution of projects from project hand-off to completion
Generate project milestones
Full ownership of keeping project on budget to the estimated cost budget
Process all project specific documentation
Place purchase orders to vendors
Generate and invoice clients per the project milestone billings or as appropriate
Track project changes and send change orders to clients when appropriate
Maintain the project documentation for the above items in our ERP system (Acumatica)
Coordinate sample creation between the shop and clients
Photo document samples
Obtain client approvals
Create project 3D model and drawings to review with project team and our shop Project Champions
Review fabrication drawings with clients and work through revisions until we have an approval to fabricate
Obtain approval to order project specific materials and maintain understanding of the status of these orders and materials throughout the process
Travel to job sites occasionally for field measurements and 3D laser scanning
Coordinate field requirements with timber frame shop lead/Project Champion
Qualification
Required
Full ownership of the design, engineering, and execution of projects from project hand-off to completion
Knowledge of how to bring a project from the design stage through to completion with multiple project team members
Creation of a 3D fabrication model
Creation of a 2D drawing package
Obtaining necessary approvals for fabrication
Ordering of materials to complete the project
Facilitating all client, architect, general contractor meetings
Understanding the scope of work that has been sold
Generating project milestones
Keeping project on budget to the estimated cost budget
Processing all project specific documentation
Placing purchase orders to vendors
Generating and invoicing clients per the project milestone billings or as appropriate
Tracking project changes and sending change orders to clients when appropriate
Maintaining the project documentation in our ERP system (Acumatica)
Coordinating sample creation between the shop and clients
Photo documenting samples
Obtaining client approvals
CAD experience in Core competencies
Creating project 3D model and drawings to review with project team
Reviewing fabrication drawings with clients and working through revisions until approval to fabricate
Obtaining approval to order project specific materials
Obtaining quotes and ordering materials
Understanding the status of orders and materials throughout the process
Traveling to job sites occasionally for field measurements and 3D laser scanning
Updating the 3D model and drawings to match existing conditions
Coordinating field requirements with timber frame shop lead/Project Champion
Maintaining the project's OneNote for project status coordination & field/shop planning
