Start in 2026 SummerLCRA is looking for an intern to join the Substation wide area network group in LCRA transmission department. The intern will help protect the Texas grid by ensuring compliance with NERC CIP standards at LCRA substations while gaining hands-on experience in cybersecurity and network management.

Responsibilities
Ensure NERC CIP Compliance for the substation environment
Coordinate applications to ensure secure remote access to substation devices
Build and oversee subnets, assigning IP addresses to substation devices
Qualification
Required
Graduation from an accredited high school or equivalent
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college program in senior year or has recently completed senior year (i.e., summer after graduating with a bachelor's degree)
Preferred
Major related to computer science or cybersecurity
