Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer will provide technical support to Manufacturing Operations, develop manufacturing process layouts, design tools and fixtures, and ensure production methods meet customer requirements, quality standards, and productivity targets.

Responsibilities

Develop and document manufacturing processes, tool, and fixture designs
Collaborate with machinists to improve efficiency and sustain standard machining techniques
Apply Lean manufacturing principles to optimize processes and reduce costs
Conduct research and create ROI analyses to support equipment acquisition
Develop work instructions and methods for new products or equipment
Program CNC machines using Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) systems to meet productivity and quality targets
Train Production Engineers and support team knowledge development
Troubleshoot assembly, machining, and manufacturing issues, working with internal and external stakeholders
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and adhere to safety and environmental regulations
Perform other duties as assigned to achieve department and company goals

Required

Associate degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 5 years in a machine shop environment; proficiency with CAM programs required
Analytical thinking and problem-solving
Blueprint reading and trigonometry
Strong mechanical aptitude
Excellent documentation and communication skills
Team player with customer focus
Organizational skills and attention to detail
CNC programming
ISO procedures
Tool knowledge and fixture design
Unigraphics and MCS 365
Occasional lifting and moving of materials up to 50 lbs
Frequent bending, twisting, grasping, standing, and visual/mental attention
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed; occasional travel may be required
