Staff Development Coordinator
The Village at Gleannloch Farms, managed by Life Care Services (LCS), is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator who is passionate about supporting and developing clinical team members. This role involves coordinating onboarding and training for new hires, ensuring a welcoming environment, and maintaining employee records and compliance.

Responsibilities
Coordinate and perform in service education, including CPR and annual competencies
Assist with recordkeeping for facility in-service education, and orientation classes for newly hired personnel
Reads, understands, trains, and practices Company’s Human Resources Policies and Procedures and state and federal laws
Assist employees in accurate completion of time keeping and applicable forms (i.e., leave and day off requests, time cards, etc.) pertinent to scheduling and staffing
Work with Human Resource Director when scheduling modified work duty employees in accordance with work restrictions and facility policy
Coordinate facility wide vaccination efforts (influenza, COVID19)
Attend various committee meetings of the facility (safety, recruitment and retention, etc.) as required
Assist in recordkeeping and documentation of attendance and tardiness for employee performance appraisals
Confirm license/certification and current standing with state approved agencies for all new hires prior to orientation date
Assist with maintaining records of current certifications/licenses for nursing department employees
Complete monthly nursing schedule coordinating requests to ensure appropriate coverage of units
Evaluate daily census compared to staffing levels and make changes as needed
Complete and post work sheets/time schedules
Perform miscellaneous duties pertaining to staffing and assist nursing supervisory personnel as necessary
Answer employee calls regarding staffing/scheduling functions
Prepare written correspondence as necessary
Consult with nursing department staff and supervisors concerning the staffing/scheduling needs: to assist in elimination/correction of problem areas, and/or improvement of services
Assist with staffing on-call Monday-Friday
Coordinate and conduct department-specific New Hire Orientation with employee follow-up
Recruit qualified staff through ORC recruitment
Answer applicant calls regarding position availability and coordinate interviews as deemed appropriate
Ensure newly hired nursing staff has timecards and schedules prior to orientation date
Provide each newly hired nursing personnel with orientation schedule and assign staff member to provide orientation
Facilitate quality orientation program by communicating new hire orientation schedule to unit manager and unit staff who will participate in orientation
Qualification
Required
Must possess a valid LVN/LPN license in the State of Texas or compact state
