Responsibilities
Operate digital production and finishing equipment (e.g., high-volume printers, paper cutters, laminators, inserters, hole punchers)
Receive, review, and electronically log customer jobs
Prepare, wrap, pack, label, and ship finished product
Perform quality inspections before, during, and after production
Process forms, update information, and use PC applications
Sort and scan hardcopy materials into printed or digital format (application-specific training provided)
Track incoming jobs — estimate, schedule, and follow through to completion
Store customer files for reuse, including file backup and indexing
Inspect files for potential issues (fonts, images, resolution, registration)
Maintain supplies, collect meter reads, and submit reporting logs for billing
Perform routine operator maintenance on equipment
Provide minimal end-user training on equipment as needed
May assist with process or template development, and operate mail folding/insert equipment as required
Qualification
Required
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; post-high school technology training or experience required
Experience: Minimum 1 year in a customer service setting; experience with digital production equipment in a print shop environment preferred
Intermediate computer competency with PC and network devices
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to navigate web browsers, email, import/export files, basic spreadsheet functions (sort, filter, formulas, graphs)
Comfortable with file/document conversion and basic math (multiplication, division, percentages)
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work well in team settings
Business-mature, professional attitude
