Responsibilities
Identify, qualify, and engage potential customers for R&D and small molecule discovery services
Proactively drive business development efforts to meet and exceed revenue goals by expanding both existing and new customer relationships
Collaborate with internal sales and technical teams to implement targeted strategies and sales plans
Prepare and deliver customized proposals, negotiate agreements, and manage client contracts to successful completion
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of internal capabilities as well as market trends and opportunities
Prepare and maintain activity reports and contribute to market and sales initiatives
Represent the organization at relevant meetings, events, and industry forums
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a scientific field; advanced degree (PhD preferred) in synthetic organic chemistry or related discipline
Minimum 6 years of relevant business development experience within CDMO or related R&D services
Strong understanding of small molecule discovery and the associated commercial landscape
Demonstrable project management and customer relationship skills
Ability to succeed in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Willingness to travel regionally; valid driver's license required
