They are seeking a Part-Time Innovation and Technology Research Intern to explore innovation topics such as artificial intelligence and data science, conduct research, analyze data, and collaborate with teams to provide insights on real-world applications in the AEC sector.

Responsibilities
Research assigned innovation topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, automation, digital twins, robotics, environmental engineering, and emerging software tools
Collaborate with small teams to perform research and analyze data
Relate research findings to real-world applications in the AEC industry
Deliver a formal presentation and written summary of research findings to company leaders and the FIT program
Qualification
Required
Be enrolled in a degree program and have completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in the field of engineering, software engineering, computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, cyber security, or related technical field
Be able to demonstrate at least one completed academic or applied project that included a strong research component
Preferred
Prior research experience into topics described above
Experience working collaboratively in small, project-based team environments
Experience analyzing data and compiling findings into a written summary report
Experience working in a virtual team environment
Experience with programming or data analysis (e.g., Python, Java, C++, machine learning libraries)
Experience with databases and SQL programming
Familiarity with Agile, project-based development, or structured research workflows
Experience presenting and summarizing research findings for technical and non-technical audiences
Microsoft Office software experience (especially Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
