Director of Quality Assurance
Goodwill Industries is seeking a strategic, solutions-oriented Director of Quality Assurance to lead enterprise-wide quality, compliance, and risk initiatives. This senior leadership role partners with the President & CEO and cross-functional department leaders to design and implement quality management systems and drive regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities
Develop and lead the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) and enterprise QA strategy
Establish and maintain best practices aligned with state and federal regulations
Partner with department leaders to review, refine, and standardize SOPs, policies, and audits
Plan and execute internal audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments
Analyze operational and quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities
Lead continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce risk, and control costs
Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and organizational standards
Provide oversight and guidance related to workers’ compensation, employment practices, and risk management matters
Support incident investigations, claims reviews, and corrective action planning
Deliver clear reporting and recommendations to senior leadership
Assist with budgeting and responsible stewardship of resources
Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer-focused service excellence
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Quality Management, or related field
5–7+ years of progressive experience in quality assurance, process improvement, compliance, or risk management
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, audits, and process optimization
Proven leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality
Occasional evenings/weekends as needed
Travel between multiple locations
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform standard physical activities
This is a safety sensitive position and will subject to a drug screen
Preferred
Master's degree
Certifications such as CAPM, Six Sigma, CMQ/OE, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or similar
Experience supporting employment practices, claims management, or regulatory environments
