Responsibilities
Build complex dimensional data models and reports from the bottom up
Audit existing Power BI efforts with focus on improvement
Collaborate with client’s data team to engineer revolutionary companywide data solutions
Create Ad Hoc and Enterprise Power BI Solutions
Automation of existing reports’ data flows, publishing, and push reporting
Provide guidance to team members and establish the Power BI Center of Excellence
Qualification
Required
5+ years working experience with data in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
Intermediate or better proficiency in DAX
Solid understanding of relational databases and ETL concepts - experience with Azure Data Factories, Databricks or Synapse Analytics preferred
Working knowledge of Power Query
Experience in row-level data security and report permissions/roles
Proficiency in optimizing data models for performance
Solid understanding of dimensional modeling concepts
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
Exceptional work ethic, judgment, business acumen, attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make informed decisions
Results-driven and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Ability to impact company culture and meaningfully shape the vision of our company
Preferred
Experience with Azure Data Factories, Databricks or Synapse Analytics
Microsoft Azure, Power BI Embedded, and/or prior consulting experience
PowerApps and/or LogicApps and Power BI embedded experience preferred but not required
1+ year of experience working with pharmaceutical datasets
5+ years data visualization experience (Tableau, Microstrategy, Qlik, etc.)
