Responsibilities
Lead & Mentor: Directly supervise and motivate union production employees, fostering a culture of safety and performance
Own the System (SAP): Act as the site’s SAP Subject Matter Expert. You will manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), spearhead the onboarding of new equipment into the system, and ensure data integrity
Drive Improvement: Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and champion continuous improvement projects to close compliance gaps and reduce costs
Maintenance Strategy: Identify critical spare parts and champion proactive maintenance by ensuring work is correctly planned and scheduled
Project Engineering: Manage capital projects, including the Respirable Crystalline Silica project, and support operational readiness
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related)
5+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree (or 7+ years with an Associate's)
Experience in mineral processing, heavy manufacturing, or industrial plant environments
Proven experience coaching, leading, or supervising teams (Union experience is a plus)
Strong proficiency in SAP (Plant Maintenance modules preferred)
Knowledge of mechanical maintenance (vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermal analysis)
Ability to communicate effectively with everyone from the shop floor to upper management
