Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports for assigned properties
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
Conduct cash flow analysis to monitor liquidity and financial stability
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for property operations
Ensure compliance with accrual accounting principles and relevant regulations
Collaborate with legal teams regarding wills, trusts, and estate law as it pertains to property management
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports
Qualification
Required
Detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant
Strong financial acumen
Comprehensive understanding of property management accounting practices
Managing financial records
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Providing accurate financial reporting for various properties
Preparing and maintaining accurate financial statements and reports for assigned properties
Performing bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for
Managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
Conducting cash flow analysis to monitor liquidity and financial stability
Assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for property operations
Ensuring compliance with accrual accounting principles and relevant regulations
Collaborating with legal teams regarding wills, trusts, and estate law as it pertains to property management
Providing support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports
Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, including accrual accounting and cash flow analysis
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders
Preferred
Proven experience in property accounting or a similar role
Previous experience with RealPage/Onesite highly preferred
