Responsibilities
Identifying, administering and managing a variety of the Company’s legal matters
Focusing on construction law issues and liability insurance matters, including collection actions and defense against liability claims
Providing professional and ethical guidance to identify critical, sensitive and complex problems to minimize risks to the Company
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a range of contracts, ensuring they are legally sound and consistent with evolving laws
Providing guidance to the Company’s Contracts Department over their work product and contract review processes
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
Experience in construction law and liability insurance matters
Strong understanding of legal principles and risk management
Ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts
Experience working with in-house legal departments and outside attorneys
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide creative solutions
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
