Laboratory Tech 6 (Metallography Evaluation)
ATI is a materials science company seeking a Lab Technician (6) for Metallography Evaluation in Monroe, NC. The technician will evaluate metallographic samples to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications, entering results into the computer and certifying final results.

Responsibilities
Become certified as a Level II Ultrasonic C-scan technician
Prepare C-scan samples utilizing a saw and/or lathe
Schedule and prioritize samples
Troubleshoot problems
Engage in activities that promote growth in knowledge necessary to perform essential tasks
Assist in routine Laboratory operations and/or perform other work as directed
Perform normal mechanical servicing and minor repairs of equipment
Maintain work areas in a clean orderly condition
Qualification
Required
Proven to Perform
Evaluating metallographic samples under a microscope against industry standards and company specifications
Entering results into the computer
Releasing final results for certification
Attention to detail
Self-motivated
Quality-oriented
Good communication skills
Ability to work well within a team
Become certified as a Level II Ultrasonic C-scan technician

High School Diploma or GED
At least one (1) year of manufacturing experience
Previous experience in quality assurance is a plus
