Responsibilities
Champion workplace safety by enforcing OSHA guidelines and implementing proactive hazard removal measures
Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement using data-driven methods
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and ensure compliance across operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design Engineering, Procurement, Sales, etc.) to implement process and product improvements
Lead continuous improvement events and apply Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, VSM, and TPM
Mentor team members on Lean principles and foster a culture of continuous improvement
Support capital investment projects from proposal through implementation, including cost analysis and ROI evaluation
Contribute to quality system initiatives to reduce non-conformances and maintain a quality-driven culture
Qualification
Required

Strong process improvement and problem-solving skills
Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of structural, tooling, and material handling methods
Ability to lead and influence non-technical personnel toward technical solutions
Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and presentation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a plus
Statistical analysis skills and familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with urgency and discretion
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
4+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
Preferred
Lean Certification
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
Experience in heavy manufacturing environments
