Responsibilities
Serve as delivery lead for one core data engineering track (ETL/Pipelines or Semantic Layer/Reporting)
Drive execution of engineering deliverables aligned to program roadmap, timelines, and quality standards
Identify delivery risks early and implement mitigation strategies
Partner closely with engineering teams, program managers, and business stakeholders to track progress and resolve issues
Participate in daily scrums with onshore and offshore teams; remove blockers and ensure momentum
Provide technical oversight across:
Snowflake pipelines (Bronze/Silver architecture)
DBT transformations and configurations
Semantic view modeling for BI and reporting
Data testing, validation, and quality frameworks
Mentor and guide engineers; promote accountability and delivery excellence
Deliver clear status updates, risk reports, and executive-ready communications
Collaborate with PMO, business teams, change management, consulting partners, and cloud vendors
Act as a bridge between engineering execution and program leadership, ensuring clarity on priorities, dependencies, and milestones
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in data engineering with demonstrated delivery leadership
Strong experience with Semantic Layer design and enablement
Proven success delivering Snowflake-based data platforms, including pipelines, ETL, and semantic layers
Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, PySpark
Snowflake (data modeling, performance tuning, RBAC, Bronze/Silver/Gold architecture)
DBT for data transformations
ETL/ELT tools such as Airflow, Informatica, Glue, Azure Data Factory, or similar
Strong background in data quality, testing, and validation frameworks
Experience working with consulting partners and distributed onshore/offshore teams
Excellent delivery management and risk mitigation skills (RAID management)
Strong executive presence with experience reporting to senior leadership
Ability to communicate effectively across technical and business stakeholders
Preferred
Experience in financial services, mortgage, or other highly regulated industries
