Responsibilities
Lead the strategy, engineering, and 24×7 operations of enterprise compute, storage, and hybrid cloud platforms across a complex, multi-site academic medical environment
Own the reliability, security, automation, and lifecycle of on-prem infrastructure, virtualization, SAN storage, and cloud services
Ensure the platforms clinicians, researchers, and educators rely on are resilient, scalable, and future-ready
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in enterprise compute, storage, and cloud platforms engineering experience, including large, complex, multi‑site environments required
Minimum of 3 years leading technical teams with 24×7 operational accountability required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience required
Hands‑on expertise with enterprise compute, storage, and cloud platforms required
Demonstrated mastery of ITIL processes (incident, change, problem) and service reporting required
Strong vendor management and budgeting experience required
Preferred
Healthcare delivery organization, & higher education/research experience and familiarity with clinical communications preferred
Certifications: WS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, ITIL, PMP preferred
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), Infrastructure-as-Code and automation (Terraform, Ansible), and hybrid cloud architecture and migration strategies (Azure, AWS) in enterprise environments preferred
