Information Systems Manager
The Commonwealth of Kentucky's Energy & Environment Cabinet is seeking an Information Systems Manager to lead a team in shaping enterprise-level technology strategies and driving impactful solutions. Responsibilities
Direct the operations and development teams through subordinate supervisors, fostering a cohesive, high-performing IT environment
Provide critical management support for planning, designing, and implementing enterprise IT systems, aligning solutions with technical, fiscal, and staffing resources
Contribute to the creation and refinement of strategic plans including the Contractor Roadmap to ensure sustainable and scalable development efforts
Assign and monitor computer service requests, ensuring timely execution and adherence to agency standards and deadlines
Oversee operational support for applications utilized by agencies across the Energy and Environment Cabinet
Develop and enforce internal procedures and control standards to ensure system compliance and take corrective actions as needed
Track and communicate project progress, conduct cost analyses, and optimize resource allocation across IT initiatives
Ensure compatibility of development efforts with broader organizational goals and IT specialty areas through interdepartmental collaboration
Deliver regular updates on IT operations, presenting insights via performance metrics, project milestones, and improvement strategies
Coordinate with leadership to align technology solutions with policy objectives and service needs
Qualification
Required
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree OR a graduate of a college or university with an associate's degree in IT or related field OR certification in an IT related field
Five years of professional experience in computer programming, systems analysis, systems support, or computer operating systems
A master's degree in computer science will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis
Two years of additional experience in computer programming, systems analysis, computer operations, business or public administration, statistics, research, or a related field will substitute for the education requirement
