Training and Development Specialist 1/2

NEOGOV is part of the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, dedicated to promoting public safety through professional law enforcement services. The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for training general audiences in basic subject matter related to service within the State Police Training Academy, including designing instructional materials and conducting workshops.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and update instructional strategies, materials, and aids (lesson plans, e-learning modules)
Conduct workshops, presentations, and hands-on training sessions. Identify training gaps and needs at individual or organizational levels
Measure training effectiveness using performance data and attendee feedback. Provide support and guidance to staff and potentially newer specialists
Manage the organization and coordination of training events

Required

Three years of experience in planning, developing, delivering, or evaluating training programs or academic instruction; human resources, or administrative services
Six years of full-time experience in any field
A bachelor's degree
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field
