Responsibilities
Collecting and updating patient registration, vital signs and other related information for our electronic health record
Coordinating services with internal and external providers
Providing patient education as necessary
Performing medication administration including vaccines and other injections, urine collection and toxicology screens, routine lab draws/phlebotomy
Performing all treatments and procedures specific to primary care services
Qualification
Required
High school diploma/GED required
Current Medical Assistant diploma, and/or certification from accredited Medical Assistant program required
Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Medical Assistant
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical setting
Ability to frequently sit in a stationary position for extended periods of time
Ability to frequently stand for extended periods of time
Ability to frequently use hands/fingers to type on computer keyboard and operate general office equipment, such as phone and copier
Ability to occasionally ascend/descend stairs as necessary
Ability to occasionally drive
Preferred
Primary Care Clinic experience strongly preferred
Experience with medication administration including injections preferred
Demonstrated ability providing patient education
