They are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with supervisory responsibilities to join their accounting team, combining hands-on accounting work with people management duties.

Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Manage general ledger activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Assist with budget preparation and variance analysis
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
Support internal and external audit processes
Maintain fixed asset records and perform depreciation calculations
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff and accounting clerks
Assign, review, and approve work completed by team members
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback
Train staff on accounting procedures, software systems, and best practices
Coordinate team workflows to meet deadlines efficiently
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the department
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1-3 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred
Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred
