Responsibilities

Assists in data collection and entry on various research and quality improvement projects
Makes phone calls, drafts letters, conducts qualitative interviews, maintains patient databases and performs other administrative tasks, including preparation of data and other reports
Works in the BMC and NeighborHealth clinics at times outlined by Dr. Rizzolo to assist in recruitment and interviews
Responsible for maintaining positive relationships with participants and protecting participant confidentiality
Responsible for the coordination of recruitment communications including in- person and remote interviews, data collection, as well as assistance with qualitative analysis
Provides general clerical support, including handling forms, reminder phone calls, preparation of study materials, filing, and scheduling appointments. Will assist with BUMC Institutional Review Board correspondence

Required

A Bachelor's degree is required by time of hire
Bilingual Spanish-English required
Ability to travel to participants' homes as needed, and off-site to additional clinics in the Boston area
Must be able to complete BMC's translation examination for interpreter certification
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with participants and to interact effectively with a variety of Medical Center staff and outside contacts

Preferred

Master's Degree preferred
1-2 years previous work experience preferred
Qualitative research experience preferred
