Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and motivate production team members to meet safety, quality, and productivity goals
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations including GMPs, HACCP, USDA/FDA requirements
Monitor daily production schedules and adjust staffing or workflows to meet production targets
Enforce company policies, safety rules, and sanitation standards at all times
Conduct shift start-ups, line checks, and production meetings
Track and report production metrics such as yield, downtime, scrap, and labor efficiency
Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Warehouse teams to resolve issues
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production or quality issues
Complete required documentation accurately (production logs, safety reports, audits)
Participate in employee evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
3+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or regulated manufacturing
Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and quality systems
Experience leading hourly production teams in a fast-paced environment
Ability to read production schedules, SOPs, and quality documentation
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Proficient with basic computer systems (ERP, production tracking, Microsoft Office)
Preferred
Associate's or Bachelor's degree
