Economic Stability Specialist

Responsibilities
Performs problem-solving and triage related to SEBT card and benefit issues to ensure timely and accurate resolution for clients
Identifies program problem areas and recommends corrective actions to prevent federal fiscal sanctions, service inequities, and inaccurate benefit determinations
Develops and recommends revisions to forms, procedures, and policies to reduce workload, minimize errors, and improve service delivery
Researches and analyzes SNAP and SEBT program policies to assess impacts on staff, clients, programs, and partners, and recommends compliant policy or procedural changes
Organizes and participates in special projects, reports, and workgroups to improve productivity, reduce errors, and support policy or system changes driven by legislation or agency initiatives
Serves as a subject matter expert for SNAP and SEBT programs by communicating with school administrators, system personnel, and customers, and identifying training needs with recommendations to ES Manager 1
Qualification
Required
Five years of economic stability social services experience
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of economic stability social services experience
A bachelor's degree plus two years of economic stability social services experience
An advanced degree in a social sciences field, business, public, or health administration plus one year of economic stability social services experience
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field
