Responsibilities

Integrate National and Regional Strategies:
Translate enterprise marketing priorities into regionalized strategies that reflect local nuances while maintaining brand consistency
Create mechanisms for continuous learning between national and regional teams that drive alignment, speed, agility, and performance. alignment
Create a Closed-Loop Feedback System:
Establish processes where consumer insights, audience behaviors, and campaign performance data continually inform national program design. Ensure that content and creative strategies are grounded in what resonates within markets
Embed a disciplined learning agenda that uses audience insights, market trends, and performance data to shape enterprise marketing priorities and optimize investments
Operationalize Market Delivery:
Define and lead an operating model that clearly delineates accountabilities between functional marketing teams, regional marketing pods, and shared services-including technology and analytics dependencies
Lead a High-Performing Team:
Oversee a structure that includes Senior Directors for each geographic area (e.g., SCAL/HI, NCAL, CO and emerging markets, NW/WA, GA/MAS) and regional account managers responsible for day-to-day collaboration, implementation, and feedback loops
Marketing Governance and Accountability:
Lead enterprise marketing governance that enables clear prioritization, visibility, and accountability to performance metrics. Establish aligned KPIs that connect campaign performance with membership growth, brand health, and business outcomes
Advocate for Market Intelligence:
Serve as the voice of the regions in national forums, ensuring local context and competitive realities shape enterprise planning. Embed learning agendas and insights from markets into strategic planning cycles
Cross-Functional Alignment:
Develops a unified enterprise-wide, full-funnel marketing strategy, that is informed by functional marketing strategies in brand, acquisition, and retention programs for B2B and B2C
Works with regional leadership to develop multi-year investment plans and portfolio allocation to inform enterprise plans for achieving membership growth and retention at both regional and enterprise levels
Drives an outside-in approach that balances regional consumer/customer/member expectations with organizational imperatives for growth and resource sustainability
Collaborate with internal partners-including Sales and AM, IT, CEX, Regional Presidents, Analytics, Regional Communications, Human Resources, and Care Delivery teams-to ensure integrated, omnichannel strategies that drive growth and retention
Operational Excellence:
Drive standardization and efficiency across markets for faster go-to-market execution, resource optimization, and best practice sharing
Align and optimize cross functional marketing resources and strategies across regions to deliver consistent member experiences, drive retention, and ensure efficient use of financial and human capital

Required

Minimum ten (10) years of progressive leadership in marketing experience at enterprise level
Minimum five (5) years of experience in health plan or health care operational leadership roles, applying complex legal and regulatory principles
Minimum five (5) years of experience and understanding of care delivery, care management and social issues affecting health and care delivery for low-income and other vulnerable populations
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or similar field
Demonstrated ability to manage change and lead large organizational transformation
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
Able to communicate complex subjects and issues clearly and quickly to a broad range of audiences and to tailor communications and presentations to meet the audience-s needs
Comfort working in a highly complex organizational setting with a wide range of needs and interests of stakeholders

Preferred

Masters degree in business administration, or similar field preferred
