Responsibilities
Define and own the technical vision, architecture, and long-term engineering roadmap
Stay hands-on with system design, architecture reviews, and critical code paths
Hire, mentor, and scale a high-caliber full-stack engineering team
Establish engineering standards, processes, and best practices
Partner with product and design leaders on roadmap planning and delivery
Drive performance, reliability, and scalability across the platform
Build a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, quality, and execution speed
Balance short-term delivery with long-term technical health
Qualification
Required
8+ years of software engineering experience with full-stack or backend focus
Prior experience as a Staff/Principal Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Head of Engineering
Strong system design and architecture capabilities at scale
Proven ability to lead and grow engineering teams
Experience operating in startup or high-growth environments
Comfortable being hands-on in code while owning strategic direction
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred
Fintech, data-intensive, or platform experience
Experience building developer tooling or internal platforms
Exposure to compliance, security, or financial systems
