Vice President of Product, New Venture
Trade Coffee is building the future of specialty coffee at home, creating the largest marketplace of exceptional independent roasters. As the Vice President of Product for a new venture, you will lead the product development from the ground up, owning the vision, strategy, and execution of the customer-facing product while collaborating closely with the VP of Engineering.
Responsibilities
Complete product vision and strategy for the new venture
Customer experience from first touch through long-term engagement
Product roadmap and prioritization decisions
End-to-end digital product: every screen, every flow, every interaction
Product development processes and culture
Defining success metrics and tracking what matters
Close partnership with VP of Engineering to build and ship fast
Define a compelling product vision for this new brand and experience
Translate that vision into a focused roadmap that ships value quickly
Make foundational decisions about product positioning, differentiation, and customer experience
Build something that feels distinct, fresh, and right for the audience
Design onboarding that immediately creates value and delight
Build personalization and discovery experiences that feel magical
Create engagement loops that keep customers coming back
Obsess over every detail of the customer journey
Partner closely with VP of Engineering to ship fast without sacrificing quality
Make smart technical and product tradeoffs that balance speed and sustainability
Build strong collaborative relationships across the organization
Use data and customer feedback to iterate and improve rapidly
Establish the right metrics and frameworks for a new business
Move with urgency while maintaining high standards
Foster a startup mentality: move fast, experiment, learn, ship
Build a high-performing product team over time
Create an environment where great work happens
Qualification
Required
8+ years in product management with a track record of success in senior product leadership roles
Direct experience building products from zero-to-one or in early-stage, high-growth environments
Proven success launching and scaling consumer digital products in subscription, ecommerce, or marketplace businesses
History of shipping products that gained meaningful customer traction and created business value
Strong background leading product strategy roadmap development
Experience building and developing high-performing product teams
Deep understanding of subscription and ecommerce product mechanics - what drives acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization
Strong product intuition and ability to identify what customers want
Systems thinker who can design cohesive experiences across multiple touchpoints
Skilled at balancing customer needs, business objectives, and technical constraints
Experience using data to inform decisions without falling into analysis paralysis
Strong instincts for UX, design quality, and product storytelling
Exceptional ability to partner with engineering - you build credibility through technical fluency and mutual respect
Experience working with design to craft elegant, intuitive customer experiences
Skilled at collaborating across functions - marketing, operations, data, analytics
Clear communicator who can translate product vision into executable plans
Entrepreneurial spirit with comfort building in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
High ownership mentality - you're accountable for outcomes, not just outputs
Hands-on approach and willingness to do whatever it takes to ship great work
Bias toward action balanced with strategic thinking about long-term product direction
