Senior Director, Financial Operations Systems and Reporting

The Senior Director, Financial Operations Systems and Reporting is responsible for overseeing financial technology and data management to ensure accurate financial operations and reporting, while managing relationships between the Finance, Transformation, and IT departments.

Responsibilities
Development, implementation, and maintenance of Financial Systems and ensure they align with operational and reporting needs. Ensure all systems functionality aligns with Financial Operations business needs including policies and procedures; Responsible for the financial systems security related to roles and permissions of users and the configuration of the systems to maintain internal controls
Evaluate and enhance financial workflows, reporting processes, and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy. Participates in the development and implementation of processes that improve efficiency and enhance productivity
Oversee data integrity across platforms, analyze trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Ensures the validity of financial data in the data warehouse and data requests and reports that include financial data
Manage and mentor finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment
Drive technology strategies for financial systems and reporting
Work closely with IT, finance, and other departments to ensure system functionality supports business goals. Serves as the financial representative on organizational projects that impact enterprise systems and financial data including setting up new programs
Ensure the smooth operation of the Financial Reporting Zendesk inboxes, overseeing daily Financial Systems and Reporting operations to ensure timely and effective responses to inquiries and issues
Monitor team performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reports to senior leadership, highlighting areas for improvement and operational insights
Collaborate with the Product team to validate finance-related solutions and ensure successful sign-off based on feedback
Maintain active participation in cross-departmental meetings, prioritizing and addressing system issues impacting financial operations
Assist in financial account audits and the resolution of complex financial transaction issues, developing a deep understanding of systems such as Epicor, Tipalti, and other payment processes
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated success and a proven track record in professional/life experience in specific job functions, projects, or industries, and military service can substitute for the formal education requirements
Ability to travel as needed to support initiative delivery and stakeholder engagement
Natural and strong leadership capabilities
Possesses strong organizational and analytical skills including the ability to understand financial systems and workflows
